Dublin Juvenile Track and Field Championships

The final day of this years Dublin Juvenile Track and Field Championships were held last night at Santry Stadium. Qualification to the National Finals in Tullamore was on the agenda and the Tallaght athletes certainly did not
go away empty handed.
First on the podium was Aisling Johnston who won the U13 Javelin with a throw of 19.81M.
Oisin Purcell booked his ticket to the finals when finishing in the silver medal position in the U14 75M Hurdles. Shane Doody added to his haul of medals this year when winning silver in the U16 110M Hurdles.
Darren Byrne travels to Tullamore as Dublin Champion following his win in the U17 High Jump and he will be accompanied by clubmate Jeffrey Sheridan who added the silver medal in the High Jump to his already impressive haul of medals.
Johnathan Smith also booked his ticket following his third place finish in the U17 Javelin competition.
Claire Murray brought the nights proceedings to a great finale when taking Gold in the U19 Discus with a throw of 23.18M.

This coming weekend is a busy one for the club with eight relay teams in action in the National Finals in Tullamore, the clubs youngest athletes compete in the National Childrens Games also in Tullamore and the club are sending a senior mens and ladies teams to compete in the first round of the Mazda League in Navan on Sunday.
