Tallaght Athletic Club enjoys huge success at Santry

Tallaght AC Juvenile athletes made the short trip to Santry Stadium last Friday evening to compete in the first day of the Dublin Indoor Track and Field finals.
The first night of a scheduled 4 days competition was dedicated to Relay events with a few field event competitions also taking place.
Tallaghts U10 Boys relay team of Alan Hudson, Adam Prior, Craig Henry and Killian Morris were first on the podium to receive their silver medal.
The Girls U11 team of Carol Jones, Grace Kristensen, Ciara Henry and Nadine Gaynor also combined brilliantly to take the silver medal.
Another silver medal was secured by the Boys U14 team of Niall Forrester, Eoghan Hennessy , Jason Power and Ciaran Dunne while the Boys U15 Team of Sean Bolger, Sean Morris, Anthony Lieghio, Brian Gregan and Luke Coleman also travel to the National Finals after their bronze medal performance.
The Girls U14 team of Aisling Johnston, Jade Corcoran, Rebecca Game, Fiona Byrne and Deirdre Comerford made good use of the squad system to secure their third place finish and their place in the National finals.
The last relay squad in action was the Boys U19 Team of Gerard Purcell, Bion Fakerede, Chris Healy and Jason Cambell and they will be delighted with their Gold medal performance.
Meanwhile Carla Fullam won silver in the U14 Shot Putt while Anthony Lieghio made his debut in the High Jump competition and won the Bronze medal.
The Indoor Championships continue this coming weekend at Santry and a strong showing is expected from this talented Tallaght outfit.
