Athletic Board /Lucozade County Relay Championships

Tallaght Athletic club juvenile relay teams took the Dublin Athletic Board /Lucozade County Relay Championships by storm on Sunday last at the ALSAA complex.
The Girls U11 relay team of Anne Marie Mc Clean , Robyn Reece , Emma Prior and Zara Gaynor were first on the podium to collect their silver medals.
Sarah Bodie, Laura Finlay, Stacy O Connor , Aoibheann Tierney and Carla Fullam fought hard to take the bronze medal in the U15 degree.
The Girls U18 team of Stephanie Game, Orla Nugent, Emer O Neill and Lariche Mandiangu did the double when taking silver in the 4x100M and Bronze in the 4x300M.
Stephanie Game, Lariche Mandiangu, and Orla Nugent then stepped up a year with Tracy Williams and Fiona Mc Carthy to win Gold in the U19 4x400M and silver in the 4x100M.
The Boys teams also did the club proud and Peter Fitzsimons, John Bodie, Oisin Purcell, Ciaran Dunne and Eoghan Hennessy were first on the podium with Bronze in the U14 race.
The U15 team of Robert Fitzsimons, Sean Bolger, Brian Gregan, Luke Coleman and Michael Solan also won Bronze. These boys then teamed up with Shane Doody and David Somerville to win Bronze at U16 level.
Jeffrey Sheridan led home the Boys U17 team to with Shane Doody, Darren Byrne, Chris Healy and Johnathan Smith all running really well to win Gold in the 4x100m and Silver in the U17 4x400M.
Ger Purcell, David Murphy, Derek Ritchie, Roy Murray and Jeffrey Sheridan combined with great effect to take Gold in U18 4x100M, Bronze in the U18 4x400M, Bronze in the U19 4x100M and Silver in the U19 4x400M .
This means that thirteen Tallaght relay squads have qualified to represent Dublin in the National Championships which will be held in Tullamore in July.
The club will be sending 70 athletes to the County Track and Field Championships which are being held over three days this coming weekend and great things are expected from this strong squad of athletes.
