Tallaght AC Ladies Going Well in Meet and Train Series

Tallaght AC were well represented at last Sundays Meet and Train race in Irishtown.
The distance was two miles cross country in damp and misty conditions but a decent field of 82 athletes went to the start.
Aoibheann Tierney is establishing herself across a broad range of distances and followed up her recent West Leinster Cross Country Schools Gold and Raheny 5 successes with a very solid 5th place finish in a personal best time of 13.03. Aoibheann steps up to compete in the Leinster Schools Cross Country this coming Wednesday and we wish her well.
Michelle Fitzpatrick a more recent addition to the Tallaght ranks is also improving with every race and she came home in 41st place in 15.08
Janice Mahon followed Michelle home in 48th place in 15.43 and Niamh Oman was close behind in 53rd place.
Mary Jenner made her debut at Meet and Train and can be well pleased with her 60th placing in 16.41
The last race in the cross country Meet and Train series will be held on February 25th in Santry Woods and another good showing is expected.
